Shachi is a Director in the Competition team at Burges Salmon. Shachi’s extensive experience covers a broad range of EU and UK competition law issues, including merger control, antitrust investigations, abuse of dominance and broader compliance and advisory work. Shachi has particular expertise in financial services, healthcare, energy and transport sectors.

Experience

  • Advising clients on all aspects of UK and EU merger control, including Deutsche Post DHL Group on the UK merger control notification relating to its 1.5bn euro acquisition of J.F.Hillebrand
  • Advising a wide range of clients on all aspects of the UK’s National Security and Investment Act 2021
  • Advising and representing clients in dawn raids and investigations, and helping clients prepare for these risks e.g. dawn raid manuals and training
  • Advising a range of clients on competition law compliance matters, including compliance manuals and policies and general advisory work
  • Advising clients on market studies and investigations conducted by UK regulators, such as the CMA and FCA
  • Multiple secondments to in-house legal teams, including within a major global retail bank and a healthcare company
