Competition and merger control

Our competition and merger control team, with expertise in all areas of competition law as well as merger control and foreign investment review, provides pragmatic advice to ensure our clients achieve their commercial objectives.

Compliance with competition law and merger control regimes has never been more important.

Competition and regulatory authorities use their increased powers to scrutinise and challenge mergers, punish anti-competitive conduct, and reform markets where competition is not working well.

Our top-ranked competition and merger control team provides expert advice on all aspects of competition law, including dawn raids and cartel investigations, abuse of dominance matters, market studies and investigations, compliance matters and competition litigation.

Our team also has considerable experience advising on merger control matters and the UK’s National Security and Investment Act 2021 (NSIA) where it has worked on a number of high-profile transactions.

We draw on our experience of working in-house with clients, gaining a detailed understanding of their needs and, importantly, the markets they operate in. We provide tailored advice to meet the specific needs of our clients and deliver practical and commercially-driven solutions.

Where our clients require advice on international matters, we work with our network of preferred firms around the world to support them.
