James Green Director

James is an experienced employment lawyer who advises national and international business on all aspects of employment law.

He has particular experience and expertise in advising employers in the financial services sector. James also advises on employment aspects of corporate and commercial transactions and the impact of TUPE, including dealing with TUPE disputes.

James regularly provides training for clients and is an active member of Employment Lawyers Association.

• Advising the UK branch of a global insurance firm on the full range of employment issues in a regulated environment, including most recently a major collective consultation exercise.
• Acting for Bank of Ireland on employment aspects of the implementation of the Senior Managers Regime, fitness and propriety issues, regulatory references and OCIR compliance.
• Advising a number of asset managers and investment firms in relation to a wide range of employment issues, including compliance with the Remuneration Codes, employee/member exits, restrictive covenants, changes to terms and conditions and other strategic HR projects.
• Dealing with employment aspects arising from the £78 million disposal by FirstGroup plc of its bus operations in London, including the TUPE transfer of 3,200 employees.
• Advising Babcock International Group on employment aspects of major projects such as the demobilisation of 1,200 employees from the MOD Regional Prime Contracts.
• Advising Thomson Reuters on various national and international HR issues, including issues arising from post-acquisition integration, the impact of TUPE and collective issues such as trade union recognition and collective agreements.
• Advising Ascent Flight Training on TUPE aspects of Fixed and Rotary Wing contracts in its role as strategic partner for the United Kingdom Military Flying Training System.
