Jeremy is the Chair of Burges Salmon's International Strategy Committee and also leads the firm's intellectual property and sports practices, helping clients arrive at the right solution to their issue, minimising impact and maximising success. He is supported by our extensive IP and dispute resolution teams with a proven track record in the highest-profile cases and cross-border, multi-sector expertise. Jeremy has extensive experience in all areas of contentious and transactional IP including trade marks, patents and copyright. He has also worked widely in the areas of sponsorship, merchandising, advertising and sales promotion, defamation and internet issues.
Jeremy is a member of most leading IP organisations including CIPA, ITMA, MARQUES, AIPPI, PTMG and ECTA and is a Committee Member of the INTA. He is recognised as an expert in trade mark law by Chambers UK, "Who's Who Legal" and "World Trade Mark Law Report".
Jeremy is a regular speaker and writer on IP issues and is a guest lecturer on passing off and trade marks on the Oxford University IP Diploma course.
