Matthew is a Senior Associate (Professional Support Lawyer) in Real Estate with responsibility for various professional support and knowledge services. Matthew’s role encompasses:

• Delivering training to the firm’s real estate lawyers and to clients.
• Providing legal consultancy and practical guidance to the firm’s real estate lawyers.
• Keeping up to date with, analysing and sharing developments in real estate law and practice both internally and with clients.
• Facilitating the sharing of knowledge within Real Estate and the wider firm.
• Monitoring and reviewing emerging legal technology solutions.

Matthew is a member of the Property Support Lawyers Group.

As a client-facing lawyer, Matthew gained significant transactional and advisory commercial real estate experience spanning several key sectors and areas of real estate practice.

Since 2017, as a specialist Professional Support Lawyer, Matthew has experience of a wide range of professional support and knowledge services, including:

• Drafting, maintaining and updating legal precedents, practice notes, and internal policies, as well as signposting useful external sources.
• Identifying training needs and preparing, organising and delivering training both internally and externally.
• Providing ad hoc legal consultancy and practical guidance to client-facing lawyers.
• Producing articles, legal insights and client briefings.
• Technology and AI solutions including document automation and contract analysis software.
