Richard is a partner in the firm's Banking and Finance team.

For over 25 years Richard has specialised in Real Estate Finance, acting for the majority of UK clearing banks and, increasingly, debt funds, insurance companies and other alternative lenders. Asset classes include PBSA, housing, mixed use developments and investment portfolios.

In conjunction with our network of preferred independent law firms, Richard regularly advises on cross-border transactions.

• Advising National Express Group Plc in relation to the UK’s first Sonia debt facility.
• Advising a private bank on various capital raisings including subordinated debt and quasi crowdfunding structures.
• Advising Puma Property Finance on a £23 million development facility for a 393 bed PBSA scheme in Belfast.
• Advising Pluto Property Finance on a £41 million bridging facility for a 500 unit residential scheme.
• Advising DRC Capital in relation to a property investment facility to fund a mixed office and industrial site in the east of England.
• Advising specialist PBSA lender, Kinetic Capital on its inaugural transaction- being a £39m development facility for a 522 bed scheme in Nottingham.
• Advising HSBC on providing significant debt funding to a joint venture between Kier Developments and various housing associations for residential developments across the UK.
• Ongoing treasury advice to National Express Group Plc in relation to its new £600m RCF.
