Overview

Alex is an associate in the firm's Commercial and Technology team. He joined the firm in 2018 as a trainee and qualified in September 2020.

Alex advises both public and private sector clients on a broad range of technology, intellectual property and commercial matters. Alex has particular experience advising clients in the sports, technology, healthcare and transport sectors and has previously completing a nine-month secondment to the legal team of a leading global cloud services provider.

  • Advising a UK sports regulatory body on response to government white paper on gambling reform in the sports industry.
  • Advising a leading national banking client on their software licensing arrangements with a leading US cloud services provider.
  • Advising a leading global cloud services provider on its cloud services arrangements with government and public sector customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa during a nine-month secondment.
  • Advising a sports sector client in relation to a potential UK broadcasting supply agreement with Sky Sports.
  • Supporting a payments start-up on development of full suite of contractual documentation in advance of their UK launch.
  • Advising a UK NHS foundation trust on procurement of an AI diagnostics tool from a leading international provider.
  • Advising an international cycling manufacturer on UK consumer regulatory compliance.
  • Providing advice on sponsorship arrangements with a leading Formula1 Racing team.
  • Providing procurement advice and contractual support across a range of UK public sector technology framework agreements.
  • Advising on a wide range of commercial matters including NDAs, consultancy contracts, sponsorship agreements, service contracts and promotional prize draws.
