Amelia Turner Solicitor

Amelia is a Solicitor in the Banking & Finance team at Burges Salmon LLP and has acted on a range of transactions within the Real Estate Finance, Corporate Finance and Project Finance practice areas.

Amelia regularly acts for a broad range of commercial clients including lenders, borrowers, and sponsors.

Amelia has experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating documents. Amelia is proficient in running CPs in complex transactions and regularly works alongside Real Estate, Construction and Corporate specialists to ensure seamless transaction management.

• Advising longstanding client, FirstGroup plc, on two connected projects relating to the investment into, and deployment of, up to 1,000 electric buses with a combined value of approximately £200 million. The transactions, part of FirstGroup’s ambitions of becoming a net-zero business by 2050 and decarbonising its bus fleet by 2035, will see up to 1,000 diesel buses being removed from its fleet and replaced with new electric buses, saving up to c.56,000 tonnes of CO2 a year. 
• Advised CORE Portfolio Investments Limited as Borrower and a number of other Community Owned Renewable Energy entities on the issue of £27,500,000 of index-linked loan notes to finance a portfolio of solar assets.
• Advised Core Taurus Limited on the £11,723,372 junior financing of Community Energy Together Limited by Big Society Capital Limited and PTC Renewable Energy Ltd in relation to 8 solar farms which were acquired by a number of Community Business from Core LLP and Core Home Nations Limited.
• Advising DRC Savills on the refinancing of a Spanish purpose-built student accommodation asset.
• Advising Oxygen Conservation in respect of a multi-million pound loan facility made by Triodos Bank UK, marking what is believed to be the largest conservation focused commercial debt package in the UK to date.
