Overview

Amy is an associate within the firm's construction and engineering team, based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, qualifying as a solicitor in September 2020.

She advises on contentious and non-contentious construction and engineering matters and has acted for developers, funders, contractors and public sector organisations.

Amy is familiar with industry standard form contracts such as FIDIC and NEC and has experience in negotiating, reviewing and drafting project specific contracts such as works contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties and parent company guarantees.

Experience
  • Advising ENGIE on the construction and O&M contracts for installation of wind, solar and battery storage assets at Keele University campus.
  • Advising a funder on the negotiation of EPC and O&M documents for a subsidy-free new build co-located solar / wind scheme.
  • Advising leading Irish renewable developer and operator in relation to EPC and O&M agreements for battery storage projects in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
  • Assisting GIG / Maquarie with the negotiation and drafting of construction and O&M documentation for its first utility-scale grid battery in UK.
  • Acting for a renewable energy development company to create template documentation and negotiate project-specific supply, works and long-term service contracts for a series of battery energy storage projects.
  • Advising a multinational green investment fund in respect of due diligence and contract negotiation for an acquisition of a large portfolio of battery projects.
  • Advising the sellers of Anesco, a market leader in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects, on the project documents of its solar and energy storage facilities ahead of its sale to Aksiom Services Group.
  • Advising on NEC and LOGIC contracts for works and services connected to an EU-funded geothermal project.
