Darren is an associate in the Burges Salmon Scottish Real Estate team and advises clients on a broad range of real estate matters including acquisitions, disposals, leases, asset management and refinancing transactions.

Darren also acts for renewable energy developers in the taking of options to lease for onshore wind, hydro, solar, battery and anaerobic digestion projects.

• Acted for a large European developer in the taking of several options to lease with various landowners for a proposed large multi-million pound onshore windfarm in the northern isles.
• Acted for a community development agency in various acquisitions, disposals, leases and corrective conveyances as well as having assisted the agency with a large project to convert various agricultural tenancies to crofts.
• Acted for a conservation company in the acquisition of two Scottish estates both over 11,000 acres.
